RVK FRINGE takes place 3-11 July 2021 in venues across Reykjavík. Please buy your tickets in advance on tix.is as there are limited tickets for sale, and note that there is a one-time purchase of a festival wristband that should be presented when attending shows.

The theatre play is performed without performers. It's an audio play all recorded beforehand. It's a surrounding experience.
The play itself takes place in a submarine on its way to the bottom of Seyðisfjörður whereby the two protagonists have been ordered to clean the shipwreck of El Grillo of its remaining weapons. The two protagonists have different ideas about the project, but Ingólfur is the embodiment of Iceland’s patriotic ideas about its place in the world meanwhile Magdalena is a Polish immigrant who wants nothing more but contribute to a more hopeful future in Iceland’s unspoiled nature, far away from the horrors of the past.
El Grillo is 20 minutes long. Two other performances will take place after El Grillo, the dance piece Origine (4 minutes) and spoken word performance Disorder (10 minutes), making the event last for approximately 40 minutes. The ticket is valid for all three performances.
