Helgi Steinar returns to a post-covid world a brand new man. Once a carefree globetrotting comedian, now a single father looking to balance family life with whatever is left of employment within today's economy. Looking towards the future, Helgi Steinar plunges into jokes on fatherhood, job searching, and what divisive politics and corruption have done to our society.
After having grown up in the United States, receiving a college education in China and hopping around the world producing comedy shows and documentaries - Helgi is more than ready to put the oxymoron of global isolationism back in its cage through witty anecdotes and through tackling stereotypes. And this time it's personal!
Looking at what kind of world his newborn son will inherit makes Helgi feel that while his generation and every other before that may have given up on the world in terms of fixing income inequality, the environment and leaving our children with nothing to hope for apart from blowing up on TikTok - at the very least we can cynically point those aspects out and make fun of them - something not even a global pandemic could take away from us!
