‘Three men from the North’
This is a show about awkwardness. It's about a hard day's work, routines, coffee and knitted woollen clothing. It's a show steeped in tradition and nostalgia, built on contemporary circus. Working with themes from the North, the show uses combinations of juggling, live music and aerial rope. Ikea furniture and juggling, accordion and acrobatics, all mix in this performance showing the familiar in a new light.
The show is blunt and to the point in a way that only Finnish humour can be, Swedishly self-aware and with a hint of Icelandic peculiarity.

‘The Nordic Council’ is a circus trio created by Merri Heikkilä (FIN), Bjarni Árnason (ISL) and Jakob Jacobsson (SWE). They have played their show ‘Three men from the North’ in festivals and theatres in Holland, Germany, Latvia, Italy, Sweden and the UK and are now coming to Reykjavik for their Icelandic premiere.
It’s a show full of quirky comedy, unexpected moments, and suits any audience.
