York Underwood is talking to the author of American Psycho, Bret Easton Ellis, streaming live into The Secret Cellar from Bret's famous apartment in West Hollywood on North Doheny Drive. Bret Easton Ellis is arguably the last "writer as celebrity"––a phenomenon that existed for roughly a century–and York and Bret will be discussing: the writer as performer. Starting at Bret's fifth novel, Lunar Park, Bret has become a character within his own work, culminating with the release of his current audiobook/novel/memoir The Shards, an audiobook being released and performed by Bret, chapter-by-chapter, on his hit podcast, The Bret Easton Ellis Podcast.
